Eligibility basics
Singles Grant eligibility generally requires the applicant to be a Singapore Citizen aged 35 or above (unmarried, divorced or widowed), buying a resale flat either alone under the Single Singapore Citizen Scheme, or jointly with another eligible single under the Joint Singles Scheme.
Income ceiling and quantum
The Singles Grant has its own income ceiling, generally lower than the family-oriented grants, and the quantum is typically around half of the equivalent Family Grant amount for a comparable flat type — reflecting the single-applicant household size.
Single buyers are restricted from certain flat types and can only buy resale flats (not BTO) except under 2-room Flexi schemes in select projects — confirm exactly what you're eligible to buy before house-hunting.
Combining with Proximity Housing Grant
Since PHG has no income ceiling, single buyers who don't fully qualify for the Singles Grant at higher income levels may still access PHG if buying near or with parents.
