What makes EHG different
Unlike the Family Grant (resale-only), the Enhanced CPF Housing Grant can apply to BTO, SBF and resale purchases alike, making it one of the more flexible grants for first-timer households. It scales down progressively as household income rises, reaching zero above the income ceiling.
Eligibility basics
- Must be a first-timer applicant (or meet the defined equivalent criteria).
- Household income must fall within the published ceiling — the grant amount reduces in bands as income increases.
- At least one buyer/essential occupier must generally be working, with some exceptions.
Because EHG applies to BTO too, it's one of the first grants to check even before you decide between BTO and resale — it can shift the effective cost comparison between the two routes.
How it stacks
For resale purchases, EHG can be combined with the Family Grant and Proximity Housing Grant where eligible, substantially reducing the net cost for qualifying lower-income households.
